Dr. Ericka L. Crouse, PharmD, BCPP, BCGP, FASHP, FASCP, is a professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and a clinical pharmacy specialist in psychiatry. She is recognized for her expertise in geriatric pharmacotherapy and psychiatric pharmacy, with a focus on optimizing medication use in complex patient populations.

Dr. Crouse’s clinical and research interests center on geriatrics, geriatric psychiatry, schizophrenia, mental illness, and substance use disorders. She is actively involved in advancing care for older adults through the university’s Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Program, which aims to improve medication safety and healthcare outcomes for aging populations.

In addition to her academic role, Dr. Crouse has extensive clinical experience as a psychiatric pharmacy specialist and has contributed to interdisciplinary care models that integrate mental health and medication management. She also plays a key role in pharmacy education, mentoring students, residents, and trainees in both geriatrics and psychiatric pharmacy.

Dr. Crouse completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Florida, followed by specialized residency training in geriatrics and psychiatric pharmacy. She is board certified in psychiatric pharmacy (BCPP) and geriatric pharmacy (BCGP), and is a fellow of both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.
