Emre Seli, MD, is Professor and Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Seli also serves as the Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Program, Medical Director of Yale Fertility Center, and Director of Egg Donation and Gestational Surrogacy Program. Dr. Seli received his medical degree from the University of Istanbul Medical School and completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University. His postdoctoral training included a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as a research fellowship in molecular biology, both at Yale University.

Dr. Seli is the recipient of multiple awards for teaching, clinical excellence, and research, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Fellowship Award for Research in Endocrinology of the Postreproductive Woman, North American Menopause Society/Solvay Pharmaceuticals Corporation Fellowship Grant Award, John J. Meehan–Clifford R. Miller Award for academic excellence, Yale University “Resident of Excellence Award” for research, and The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons’ “Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon Award.”

His work on infertility has received two President’s Presenter Awards from the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) K08 grant award, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Ira and Ester Rosenwaks New Investigator Award, and most recently NIH R01 Award, His current research program is focused on the investigation of the regulation of gene expression during oocyte and early embryo development and non-invasive embryo assessment in assisted reproduction. He has published in leading scientific journals and edited textbooks of gynecologic disorders, infertility, and fertility preservation, and embryo assessment.
