Dr. Aziz has conducted cutting-edge studies and been widely published in cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, clinical outcomes and cardiac syncope management, including extended monitoring using implantable loop recorders. An electrophysiologist, he is experienced in all complex ablations, including atrial fibrillation, pulmonary vein isolation and ventricular tachycardia for normal and ischemic hearts. He is skilled in advanced cardiac device implantations and certified in the most complex laser lead extraction for infected devices. Additionally,
Dr. Aziz specializes in clinical management and outcomes, directing the Advanced Cardiac Admission Program, which uses a guidelines-based approach to optimize care and prevent sudden cardiac death. He also is an active member of the American Heart Association’s Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research.
