Elizabeth (beth) Pegg FratesMD
Elizabeth (Beth) Pegg Frates, MD, is a pioneer in lifestyle medicine education, an award-winning teacher at Harvard Medical School, as well as at the Harvard Extension School. She currently practices lifestyle medicine through her health and wellness coaching company, Wellness Synergy, LLC. Frates graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, majoring in both psychology and biology. She then attended Stanford Medical School, interned at Massachusetts General Hospital, and completed her residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Frates is a graduate of Harvard College and Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at MGH and her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Harvard Medical School program where she served as Chief Resident and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor. Since 1999, Beth has been actively involved with teaching medical students at Harvard Medical School (HMS) where she has won multiple teaching awards. She created the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group at HMS and will be teaching an Introduction to Lifestyle Medicine Course at the Harvard Extension School in the fall of 2014.
