Elizabeth Pegg FratesMD
Dr. Frates believes that it is an honor and a joy to work on empowering individuals and groups to reach their optimal level of wellness. Her goal is to enable clients to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors like regular exercise, proper nutrition, stress reduction, and weight management by identifying motivators, obstacles, strengths, and strategies for behavior change. She offers one on one sessions, group workshops, and lifestyle makeover packages.
Dr. Frates is a graduate of Harvard College and Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at MGH and her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Harvard Medical School program where she served as Chief Resident and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor. Since 1999, Beth has been actively involved with teaching medical students at Harvard Medical School (HMS) where she has won multiple teaching awards. She created the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group at HMS and will be teaching an Introduction to Lifestyle Medicine Course at the Harvard Extension School in the fall of 2014.
