Elizabeth Celia Lindenberger is an Associate Professor and Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lindenberger’s educational and research efforts focus on the training of interdisciplinary teams caring for patients with serious illnesses. She has extensive experience in the VA health care system, including a past appointment at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center Geriatrics Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC), where she developed innovative palliative care models for veterans with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Dr. Lindenberger’s areas of scholarship include palliative care for ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases, advance care planning, and geriatrics and palliative care education.
