Edson Marchiori holds a degree in Medicine from the Fluminense Federal University, a Master's in Medicine (Radiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Ph.D. in Medicine (Radiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Emeritus Professor of Radiology at the Fluminense Federal University. Titular Professor of Radiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a full member of the Brazilian College of Radiology.
Editor of Radiologia Brasileira and Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Pulmonology, in addition to being researcher 1A of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). It has more than 1000 scientific articles published in Brazil and abroad, 2 books published, about 50 chapters of written books, about 850 classes, lectures, and conferences given at events in Brazil and abroad, in addition to about 170 doctoral theses. and guided Master's dissertations. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Thoracic Radiology, working mainly on the following subjects: High resolution computed tomography in the study of lung diseases, with correlation with anatomy pathology.
