Edgar J.G. Peters is an internist, registered in two areas of interest: infectious diseases and acute medicine. As an acute medicine specialist, he mainly sees patients with, for example, poisoning, shock, metabolic dysregulation, and sepsis. As an infectious disease specialist, he is involved with people with complex infections, such as people with reduced immune systems, people who have artificial materials in their bodies, or people with unexplained infections. At the infectious diseases outpatient clinic, he sees patients with HIV infection, viral hepatitis, infections after returning from the tropics, and complex, rare, or difficult-to-diagnose infections, immune disorders, and unexplained fever syndromes. He strives to always provide the highest possible quality of care and he attaches great importance to personal contact and good communication with his patients.
