Dirk Van Gysel MD, PhD

Dr. Dirk Van Gysel studied medicine and specialized in pediatrics at KU Leuven. He became proficient in pediatric dermatology through additional training at the Erasmus MC - Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam. In 2009 he obtained a Ph.D. from Ghent University. Dr. Van Gysel is the author of more than a hundred scientific articles and chapters in handbooks. He organizes and speaks at various international medical conferences. He is vice-president of the BPDA (Belgian Pediatric Dermatology Association) and a board member of the ESPD (European Society of Pediatric Dermatology) and the ISPD (International Society of Pediatric Dermatology). In addition, Dr. Van Gysel works as a consultant pediatric dermatology at UZ Brussel.
