Dr. Dennis Christensen is leading the adjuvant research project at the Department of Infectious Disease Immunology and has for the last 10 years been working with pharmaceutical and immunological aspects of adjuvant delivery systems. In this period he has obtained a unique research profile which bridges the gap between these two research fields.
He’s research have in particular focused around the use of liposomes as delivery systems for immunostimulators and vaccine-antigens and how physico-chemical properties of liposomes and antigens as well as different routes of delivery and delivery devises can influence the immunological outcome.
