Dee Traue MB BS, BSc, MSc, FRCP

She is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at East & North Herts NHS Trust based at The Lister Hospital. She provide medical leadership for the multi-professional specialist palliative care advisory service. Before taking up my current position, She was Medical Director of Isabel Hospice in Hertfordshire, a voluntary sector hospice which provides the full range of in-patient, day hospice and community palliative care services for five years. Prior to this, She was a consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. She has extensive experience of both clinical and strategic leadership. She has previously been the medical representative on the Hospice UK Care Support and Strategy Team and a member of the RCP Joint Specialty Committee for Palliative Medicine. She also a member of the East of England Clinical Senate Council. She has recently joined the Association for Palliative Medicine Executive Committee. She is a CQC clinical advisor for end of life care hospital inspections.

Between 2008 – 2012, She worked for NHS Midlands & East (initially for East of England SHA), as the Clinical Lead for End of Life Care for the east of England and as part of this role I was a member of the DH End of Life Care Leads Group. She is committed to the provision of high quality palliative and end of life care at both a local and national level. As further this, She was a member of the National Cancer Action Team Specialist Palliative Care Peer Review Expert Group and was part of the NICE Quality Standards for End of Life Care Topic Expert Group.
