Deborah Rachelle Shatzkes MD

Dr. Shatzkes is the Director of Head & Neck Imaging for the New York Head & Neck Institute and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, and Professor of Radiology at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ Medical School. She is an internationally recognized expert on H&N Radiology and is in wide demand as a lecturer, speaking throughout North America, as well as South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Dr. Shatzkes is the Head & Neck editor for the most prestigious imaging journal in the world, Radiology.

She is also in charge of Head & Neck programming at the largest medical conference in the world, the Radiologic Society of North America annual meeting. She has reached leadership positions in numerous professional societies and is on the executive committee of the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology, slated to be its president in 2017. She has published and edited numerous textbooks, book chapters, and peer-reviewed articles and is active in developing certification examinations for the American Board of Radiology.
