David V. Pilcher MBBS, MRCP, FRACP, FCICM

David V. Pilcher trained in respiratory and general medicine in the UK before moving to Australia in 2002. He has worked as a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne since 2006. His interests include organ donation, lung transplantation, ECMO, mortality prediction modelling, and the epidemiology of Intensive Care medicine. He is the immediate past Chair of the ANZICS Centre for Outcome and Resource Evaluation (CORE), Director of the ANZICS Adult Patient Database and a medical advisor to DonateLife in Victoria. He is also a Monash University Practitioner Fellow and Adjunct Clinical Professor with the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.
