Dr. Daniel Johnson’s career is focused on improving access to quality healthcare for underserved populations using an asset based approach that leverages existing resources to strengthen community services. From 1987-1999 Dr. Johnson was at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) and created and directed the UCM’s Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Program. From 1999-2007, he was the Chair of Pediatrics for Chicago’s Mount Sinai Health System. He returned to UCM in 2007 to take on a leadership role for improving community-based care through the UCM’s Urban Health Initiative.
