Lenihan is an experienced cardiologist specializing in cardio-oncology, congestive heart failure management, and amyloidosis, who joins Saint Francis from the Cardio-Oncology Center of Excellence at Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as the Director.

Lenihan earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry and Zoology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and he earned his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Lenihan completed his residency in internal medicine at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, and completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH.

Lenihan is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with sub-specialties in cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure, and transplant cardiology.
