Dr. Dana Meredith Chase, MD, is a leading gynecologic oncologist and surgeon at UCLA Health, where she serves as a Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. She is also affiliated with the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, contributing to cancer control and survivorship research.
Dr. Chase completed her medical degree, residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Clinically, Dr. Chase specializes in the treatment of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers. She is recognized for her expertise in minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and comprehensive cancer care, with a strong emphasis on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Her research focuses on advancing cancer treatment through clinical trials, translational research, and patient-centered outcomes. Key areas of interest include the microbiome’s role in cancer, health disparities, geriatric oncology, survivorship, and symptom management. She has also led and contributed to multiple Phase II and III clinical trials aimed at improving therapies for gynecologic cancers. Dr. Chase has received numerous honors, including recognition as a Top Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine (2024–2025) and awards for excellence in patient care and teaching.
