Dan Lukaczer received his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in 1991. He is former Director of Clinical Research for the Functional Medicine Research Center, the clinical research arm of Metagenics, a nutritional supplement company located in Gig Harbor. In addition to maintaining a private practice in family medicine in Fife WA, he currently serves as the Associate Director of Medical Education for the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Dr. Lukaczer has extensive experience and expertise in diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus etc), digestive disorders (IBS, colitis, etc) and thyroid and adrenal dysfunction. He offers care to both adults and children and takes a personalized, individual view of health and disease, focusing on the underlying dysfunction and applying therapies to repair, restore and revitalize the body's innate healing mechanisms.

Dr. Lukaczer believes the key to naturopathic medicine is treating each person as an individual and getting to the root cause of health problems. New patient appointments entail a detailed conversation about your current health, health history, family history, diet, lifestyle habits, etc. A thorough discussion of potential naturopathic approaches and additional lab recommendations follow.
