Dr. Dale Sorenson has made providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to his patients his mission. Dr. Sorenson was born and raised in Munster, Indiana. He attended Wabash College for his undergraduate education where he earned All-American honors in swimming. He received his D.D.S. degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1981. In 1983, he opened his practice in Newburgh. Shortly thereafter in 1986, he began attending The L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. After completing the courses in 1992, he was invited to teach there one or two weeks each year. He is currently a Lead Visiting Faculty at the Pankey Institute recently being awarded the designation of Pankey Scholar. He is a member of the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners and served 9 years on the Indiana State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Dale Sorenson was recently appointed to serve as the Director of Essentials Education at the Pankey Institute, overseeing the ongoing and continuous improvement of the curriculum and leading the Visiting Faculty.

As Director of Essentials Education, Dr. Sorenson will be responsible for all aspects of the Institute's Essentials curriculum, a series of four advancing courses in which the participants develop expert skills to help patients achieve optimal oral health, function, comfort and esthetics, while exploring all aspects of practice--technical, behavioral, philosophical and financial. Dr. Sorenson will oversee the development and evolution of this curriculum, as well as the Visiting Faculty for the courses. He will serve as an ambassador for the Institute, working with the highly qualified team of Visiting Faculty and professional staff to provide a world-class experience for all participants.
