Cynthia J. Stevens DNP, MSN, RN

Dr. Cyndee Stevens is the Senior Director of the Abilene Community Health Center an extension of the Larry Combest Community Health Center in Lubbock, Texas. She is a team leader and is responsible for the daily operations of the facility as well as recruiting excellent staff and providers. She is the liaison for students and patients in the community. Cyndee has been a nurse for 23 years. She is a life-long learner who has progressed from a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Associate Degree Nurse, and Bachelor Degree Nurse and earned her Masters of Science in 2010 with a dual degree focus in Administration and Education.
She is now a Doctorate of Nursing Practice graduate from Texas Tech University Health Science Centers. She is a cardiac and ICU nurse in heart and loves population health and mental health. Cyndee has worked as a public health nurse, heart catheterization lab nurse, cardiac care nurse and ICU nurse. She taught at the senior level for Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing in Critical Care and Medical Surgical. She has mentored and facilitated many students in her career. She has served as a Director of Nurses in a large behavioral health unit prior to her present assignment.
