Coen RN Rasch is a Radiation Oncology Professor at Leiden University and Radiation Oncology department chair at the Leiden University Medical Center. Coen Rasch has worked as a radiologist-oncologist at the Dutch Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL) since 1996. From 2005 onwards, he also served as Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) implementation group leader at NKI-AVL, where he later also served as adaptive therapy group leader. He also lectures for the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO), especially in Europe and Asia. Rasch has been the coordinator of the EU ARTFORCE research project (Adaptive and Innovative Radiation Treatment FOR improving Cancer patient's treatment outcome) since 2009, an initiative aimed at improving radiotherapy treatment of head, neck and lung cancer.
