Dr. Ciorsti MacIntyre was awarded an Honors BSc in Human Biology and Archaeological Science by the University of Toronto in 2004 before moving to Nova Scotia to attend medical school at Dalhousie University in 2008. She completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in Halifax before moving to Boston for a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following this, she completed an additional fellowship in Genetic Cardiology/Inherited Arrhythmia Syndromes at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota with Dr. Michael Ackerman. Since 2017, she has held an academic appointment at Dalhousie University as an assistant professor. She is the current undergraduate medical education cardiology component head. She is on the executive committee for the Hearts in Rhythm Organization (HiRO) for inherited heart disease. Her clinical and research interests include inherited heart disease and cardiac sarcoidosis.
