Description:
The 2017 VT/VF Summit provides a state-of-the-art discussion on all aspects of managing patients with arrhythmogenic heart disease. Each session will be structured around a clinical case with audience polling of difficult diagnostic and management decisions. Experts will provide reviews of the latest advances and breakthroughs in the field.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
• Discuss management of VT in post-MI patients
• Identify epidemiology and risk predictors following an MI
• Assess the value and tradeoffs in risk prediction tests
• Define the role of molecular diagnostics in patients with VT
• Recognize the spectrum of disorders leading to VT without structural heart disease
• Explain the work-up of patients with VT and no structural heart disease
• Understand current and investigational management options to prevent recurrent arrhythmias in arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathies, including catheter ablation, autonomic modulation and gene therapy
• State the pathophysiology of AVRC and inflammatory cardiomyopathies
• Understand the mechanisms governing risk of VT due to scars
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
