Dr. Christine Swanson earned her medical degree from Tulane University, completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic, and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Clinical Nutrition at Oregon Health and Science University. She is board-certified in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, an ISCD-Certified Clinical Densitometrist, and a physician scientist at the University of Colorado.
Her clinical interests include metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis and disorders of calcium, phosphate, and vitamin D metabolism. Dr. Swanson’s research on the skeletal effects of disrupted sleep is funded by the NIH and an internal award from the Department of Medicine at CU.
