23rd Annual Women's Health Symposium is organized by Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research at University of Colorado (UC) Anschutz Medical Campus and will be held on Feb 22, 2025 at Anschutz Medical Campus, Anschutz Health Sciences Building, Aurora, Colorado, United States of America.

Learning Objectives:

1. Enumerate the cardinal symptoms of menopause and their patterns over time.
2. Deploy hormone therapy appropraitely to treat menopausal symptoms, while helping patients differentiate information from disinformation.
3. Identify risk factors for youth-onset diabetes and explain how the unique physiology during puberty contributes to onset of diabetes.
4. Distinguish features that help differentiate type 1 from type 2 diabetes.
5. Differentiate features of youth- and adult-onset type 2 diabetes.
6. Apply initial history, physical exam, and laboratory data to determine the best treatment for a patient with suspected youth-onset type 2 diabetes.
7. Identify the common symptoms, diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis for IBS.
8. Identify situations where it is appropriate to evaluate for conditions other than IBS.
9. Identify treatment options for IBS.
10. Identify indications for SGLT 2 inhibitors in individuals with type 2 diabetes for both glycemic control and cardiovascular and renal risk mitigation.
11. Describe appropriate indications for SGLT2 inhibitors in individuals with heart failure.
12. Identify clinical situations when SGLT2 inhibitors should be withheld.
13. Discuss the range and impact of perinatal mental health and substance use conditions that occur in during the perinatal period, including health equity and geographic disparities across Colorado, and provide information on a free, statewide resource to support health care providers to address these concerns. 
14. Identify the pervasive impact of traumatic experiences and discrimination upon perinatal health outcomes and identify appropriate trauma-informed supports to address these concerns.
15. Confidently apply osteoporosis diagnostic criteria and fracture risk assessment in clinical practice to help guide initial treatment decisions.
16. Utilize concepts and tools to help inform clinical judgment and shared decision making in the gray areas of osteoporosis treatment.
