Christina M. Surawicz

Dr. Surawicz is a gastroenterologist who has been practicing general GI at Harborview Medical Center since 1981. She was section chief until 2013. She has been a leader in treating patients with recurrent C. difficile infection with fecal microbiota transplant.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and her M.D. from University of Kentucky, following which she came to Seattle for residency and fellowship at the University of Washington. She then joined the faculty. She has been listed in Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors in America for over 10 years. She is a past president of the American College of Gastroenterology.
