Cheryl A. M. Anderson, PhD, MPH, is a professor and dean of the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science. Dr. Anderson received her doctoral degree from the University of Washington and her Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UC San Diego, Dr. Anderson is the Director of the UC San Diego Center of Excellence in Health Promotion and Equity. Dr. Anderson is a fellow of the American Heart Association and is the chair of the American Heart Association’s Nutrition Committee and vice chair of the Council on Epidemiology and Prevention.
