Cherie Q. Marfori, MD, FACOG is a gynecologist with The GW Medical Faculty Associates and an assistant professor with The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) and completed GW’s first post-graduate fellowship in MIGS under the tutelage of Dr. James Robinson. She is a team member of The MFA’s Menstrual Disorders Center and The Pelvic Floor Center.

Dr. Marfori was an undergraduate at Wake Forest University and completed her medical degree at The University of Virginia. She went on to complete her OB/GYN residency at The University of Massachusetts and then joined the MFA as an assistant professor of General OB/GYN for three years prior to completing her fellowship in MIGS there. Subsequently, she has rejoined the faculty as a specialist in minimally-invasive Gynecology. She has presented clinical research projects at national meetings of The American College of OB/GYN (ACOG), American Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of ACOG.
