Dr. Charlotte Gurule attended Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She attended the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine, then moved to Arizona and completed her Family Medicine residency training at Banner University Medical Center (formerly Banner Good Samaritan). She served as chief resident during her final year. Following residency, Dr. Gurule completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of Arizona and joined the faculty at Banner Good Samaritan Family Medicine Residency where she served as a clinician educator until 2008 when she became the Practice Medical Director. During her time at Banner.
Dr. Gurule served on multiple hospital committees and completed Banner’s Advanced Leadership Course in 2014. She has been recognized for her excellence in teaching numerous times; receiving the Robert A. Price Award – Banner Family Medicine Residency Program in 2004, 2009 and 2015. In 2015, Dr. Gurule joined Iora Primary Care as the Practice Medical Director and was responsible for leading an integrated primary care model serving a large population of Medicare patients.
