Carlene MacMillan, MD is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who completed her general psychiatry residency and child psychiatry training at MGH/Mclean. Her undergraduate and medical degrees are from Harvard University. She began to learn mentalization early in her training, and has been formally trained in various modalities of MBT Since 2014. She is the medical director of the Ellenhorn PACT team, one of three AMBIT-trained teams in the United States and has advanced training to train others in that model. She’s also the clinical director of Brooklyn Minds, a group mental health practice in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Brooklyn Minds is one of a handful of centers in the country to offer on-model MBT, including group, family and individual work for adults and adolescents. She is the co-site director for the mentalization-based treatment research program at Brooklyn minds as well. She previously worked as an attending on the Trauma and Dissociative Unit and outpatient adolescent DBT Continuum.
