Bruce G. Bender PhD

Bruce G Bender, Ph.D. is a pediatric neuropsychologist and Head of the Division of Pediatric Behavioral Health at National Jewish Health and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. He is a co-director of the National Jewish Health Center for Health Promotion, which aims to assist patients in the more effective management of chronic illness. He is also the director of the Asthma Toolkit Program, which has trained rural and Indian Health Service primary care providers in evidence-based asthma management.

Dr. Bender is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology-In Press, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the Annals of the American Thoracic Society. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Behavioral Science Assembly of the American Thoracic Society.
