Brittany D Bissell PharmD, PhD

Dr Bissell is a clinical pharmacist in the pulmonary medical intensive care unit at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington Kentucky Dr Bissell completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona followed by a postgraduate year one pharmacy residency at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville and postgraduate year two specialty pharmacy residency in critical care at Jackson Health System Dr Bissell most recently received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Kentucky Dr Bissell s research interests include immunomodulation in sepsis and fluid resuscitation For this work she has received grant funding from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and the University of Kentucky Igniting Research Collaborations Initiative Dr Bissell contributes to committee work in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Society of Critical Care Medicine and Board of Pharmacy Specialists and is the founding chair of the American Thoracic Society Critical Care Assembly Clinical Pharmacists Work Group and is a co founder of the Kentucky Chapter of American Thoracic Society
