Dr. Byrne received her Doctorate from University of North Texas in Aging and Education; a Masters in Health Administration and Nursing from Texas Woman’s University; a Masters in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelors in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. She is a Certified Content Expert in PCMH; an NCQA PCMH Reviewer; earned a CPHQ; holds ANP licenses in Texas and Idaho.
Dr. Byrne has 36 years of experience in various facets of healthcare operations as a chief operations officer, gerontologist, advanced nurse practitioner, healthcare consultant, medical economist and strategist. Since 2013, she has been a Director in Clinical Transformation for Premierae Population Health Management Consulting Services and specializes in Care Management across the continuum including throughput and work processes, Population Health innovation models, Comprehensive Patient Care Plus and the Patient-Centered Medical Home.
Dr. Byrne brings her experience as a gerontologist and practitioner in neurology, sleep medicine, pain management, occupational and internal medicine to her current role of transforming provider practices from volume-based to value-based services. Dr. Byrne has maintained her clinical ties as a volunteer provider and board member at the Agape Free Clinic in Dallas, TX since 2002.
