Brian Wolfe MD

Brian Wolfe, MD is an Associate Professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He obtained his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency and chief residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Prior to joining the hospital medicine group at the University of Colorado Hospital, he held academic appointments first at Vanderbilt University Medical Center followed by Temple University Medical Center. At Temple, he served as the hospital medicine group academic director, serving in numerous capacities as key clinical faculty within the internal medicine residency. In his current appointment, he has served as a previous director of the consult service and continues to serve as the associate director.

He directs the Hospital Medicine Services (HMS) and swing service, 4 inpatient services responsible for admitting and caring for general medicine ward patients by using a unique teaching team model that combines physicians, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant faculty and nurse practitioner and physician assistant fellows. In addition, he is the program director for the Advanced Practice Fellowship, an innovative year-long program that trains nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the art of inpatient medical care. Locally, he serves on the board of directors for the Society of Hospital Medicine Rocky Mountain Chapter. Nationally, he is a member of the nurse practitioner and physician assistant committee of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
