Dr. Rochwerg is an intensivist and researcher based at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He is an Associate Professor at McMaster University and teaches in the Health Research Methodology program. He serves on the executive for the Canadian Critical Care Society, the Internal Medicine Section at the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and The Canadian Critical Care Trials Group.

Dr. Rochwerg’s main focus of research includes resuscitation medicine, ARDS, and intravenous fluid use in sepsis. Dr. Rochwerg has gained knowledge and expertise in meta-analysis, network meta-analysis, and randomized controlled trials. His other area of focus is clinical practice guideline methodology and he currently works with many international organizations supporting their guideline development projects.

Dr. Rochwerg obtained his BSc at the University of Western Ontario (2004), his medical degree at the University of Ottawa (2009), his residency training in internal medicine (2012) and critical care medicine (2014) at McMaster University. Dr. Rochwerg graduated with a Master of Science Health Research Methodology at McMaster University (2015).
