Bernd Montag PhD

Dr. Bernd Montag has been holding the CEO position of the Imaging & Therapy Systems Division of the Siemens Healthcare Sector since 2008. This Division is the world market leader for imaging systems, comprising for example Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance etc., and its success is founded on a culture of innovation. Since joining the company, Montag has held a variety of positions in the Healthcare Sector, ranging from quality and process-related consulting, to vice president of marketing for Magnetic Resonance and heading the business unit Computed Tomography. Montag has a track record outside Siemens AG as well. Holding a PhD in Physics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and as a former basketball player in Germany’s national premier league – he certainly knows and lives the value of logic and team spirit. Bernd Montag is a confessing fan of the football team Bayern Munich.
