Benjamin Smith MD

Benjamin Smith, MD, is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of Emergency Medical Services. He graduated from residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas prior to completing EMS fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently the assistant medical director for Carolina Air Care and has helped implement an ultrasound program within Carolina Air Care. He has prior experience beginning in 2007 volunteering as both an EMT and a technical rescue technician.
