Benjamin Cobb MD

Benjamin Cobb is an anesthesiologist, obstetric anesthesia fellow, and National Clinician Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. He is from Virginia and completed his undergraduate degree at Hampton University. He attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a Foundation of Anesthesia Education and Research Scholar. Dr. Cobb completed anesthesia residency at the University of Pennsylvania. <,br/>
Dr. Cobb’s research interests relate to perioperative health services and quality and safety of obstetric care. Specifically, he focuses on maternal and neonatal peripartum risk-reduction strategies. Dr. Cobb is interested in describing the risk factors for general anesthesia usage for Cesarean sections and understanding the impact of clinician decision-making regarding Cesarean sections.
