Dr. Green is presently professor and chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He specializes in the surgical management of complex spinal cord injuries and disorders. As a medical student at Indiana University, Dr. Green worked with paraplegics who volunteered in the spinal cord research laboratory. He developed a deep admiration for individuals whose lives are changed by paralysis, and found within himself a life-long commitment to pursue effective treatments and ultimately find a cure for paralysis. At Northwestern University, Dr. Green developed a special interest in spine surgery during his neurosurgical residency. And, he continued his research into the many challenges of paralysis.
