Ayesha Sherzai, MD is the Co-Director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Program at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She is a vascular neurologist, who completed a preventive medicine and neurology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She then went on to complete an in vascular neurology and epidemiology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Sherzai is currently working on her Ph.D. in Epidemiology at Loma Linda University. She has been actively involved in extensive research in lifestyle, particularly diet and nutrition and its effect on brain health, and published extensively.

In 2015, Dr. Sherzai was the recipient of the Trudy Bush Fellowship Award for Cardiovascular Disease Research in Women’s Health, for her research on diet and stroke prevention in women. Her passion to prevent diseases of the brain led to She is also a culinary artist, with a focus on healthy plant-based cooking. At Loma Linda, she is currently in charge of the Lifestyle Intervention Program for patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment, where together with her husband, Dr. Dean Sherzai, work with their patients to modify their lifestyle, in areas such as nutrition, exercise, meditation, restful sleep, and cognitive activity.
