Sedona Health & Nutrition Conference is organized by Healthy World Sedona (HWS) and will be held from Jan 17 - 18, 2019 at The Sedona Inn, Sedona, Arizona, United States of America.

This conference, designed for healthcare professionals, offers up to 10.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for many medical professionals, and 10.0 CPEUs from the Commission on Dietetic Registration for registered dietitians. Others with interest in nutrition and health may also attend.

Course Description:
Discover how plant-based nutrition is changing the landscape of medical practice in the U.S.

This annual conference, now in its third year, is the first in Northern Arizona to present the latest information on the science and practice of “food as medicine” - medicine that goes beyond managing chronic conditions to promote true healing. Learn the latest information on plant-based nutrition, the effects of diet on chronic disease prevention and control, and how to promote lasting behavior change toward an optimum plant-based diet for patients and clients.

Interest in plant-based diets is rapidly growing. Practitioners are now successfully using this interest and information in a clinical setting to change the lives of their patients. Co-sponsored by Northern Arizona Healthcare and Northern Arizona University.

Program Objectives:

• Recognize the links between dietary choices and chronic diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, autoimmune diseases, cancer, coronary heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
