Ashton Lofgreen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center and a staff Psychologist at The Road Home Program: The National Center of Excellence for Veterans and their Families at Rush. Lofgreen completed her internship at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Lofgreen has specialized training in evidence-based therapies for PTSD. Her training has prepared her for work with a variety of the complex challenges that veterans often face upon returning home, including chronic pain, substance use disorders, and moral injury. She has a particular clinical and research interest in the treatment of the emotional and relational aftermath of interpersonal traumas, such as military sexual trauma. Lofgreen received her doctorate from Auburn University and her bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University.
