Dr Ashok Kumar Deorari MD, FAMS, FNNF has made outstanding contribution to transferring of knowledge and skills in neonatology to physicians and nurses in India & SEAsia region. His team has undertaken innumerable region-wide training programmes in some of the most crucial areas of newborn care: neonatal resuscitation; neonatal ventilation; cpap, kangaroo mother care. Under his leadership , the team has developed a participatory learning package of international standards for facility based neonatal nursing, which has been taken to scale in the state of Gujarat , West Bengal and acclaimed in India and the SEAsia Region.
