Ashley K. R. Fernandes MD PhD, FAAP

Ashley K. Fernandes, MD, PhD, is the Associate Director of the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He received an MA in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University (1999); an MD from The Ohio State University (2003); and a PhD in Philosophy (Bioethics) from Georgetown University (2008). Dr. Fernandes completed a residency in Pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and is board certified in General Pediatrics. Focusing on bioethics and professionalism education, he is active in the LSI curriculum at OSU as DOC-3 Director, LG Leader, and a portfolio coach. He practices both hospital and ambulatory pediatrics.
