Arpita Maiti MSc, PhD

Arpita Maiti is Director, External R&D Innovation (ERDI), Inflammation & Immunology at Pfizer, Inc. ERDI is an externally-focused scientific team of PhDs / MDs embedded within Pfizer research groups and seeks to identify late-breaking science that forms the basis of innovative therapies and drives related collaborations that deliver value to Pfizer, its partners, and patients. As a member of the ERDI team, Arpita supports external opportunity searches for the Inflammation & Immunology Research Unit at Pfizer.

Arpita received her Ph.D. and MSc in Immunology from the University of British Columbia and her BSc (Hon) in Immunology and Human Biology from the University of Toronto, Trinity College. Since 2004, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Inflammation Research Association, is its Past-President, and was the Co-chair of the 12th World Congress on Inflammation held in Boston, Aug 8-12, 2015. She is a member of the American Society for Cell Biology and the Canadian Society for Immunology, has published in PNAS, Science, Journal of Immunology, Journal of Cell Science and Journal of Biological Chemistry and is an inventor on one issued patent and more than 10 applications.
