Apichard Sukonthasarn MD

Professor Apichard completed his medical degree, internship and residency in internal medicine at Chiang Mai University and became a Diplimate of the Thai Board of Internal Medicine, Thai Medical Council in 1982. He then served as a Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University before becoming Assistant Professor in 1983 and Associate Professor in 1987. He became a Diplomate of the Cardiology Subspecialty Board of the Thai Medical Council in 1994.

Professor Apichard has published over 50 scientific articles and 25 text books in areas including hypertension, acute coronary syndromes, atrial fibrillation and coronary heart disease. He currently serves as Editor of the Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand and the Chiang Mai Medical Bulletin.
