Luke completed his undergraduate education, medical degree and family practice residency at the University of Toronto. He completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Boston Children's Hospital and earned a master's degree in public health at Harvard University.
Luke's research interests include injury prevention, pediatric sports medicine, running medicine and digital health. He is a physician lead for the Benioff Children's Hospital Sports Medicine Center for Young Athletes and helps direct high school sports medicine programs in San Francisco and Marin. He also helps coordinate medical care at most of the large races in the Bay Area, and has worked at the Olympics, Golden Gate Rugby and UC Berkeley.
