Anne Covey is an interventional radiologist who uses CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and other image guidance to perform minimally invasive procedures. She is passionate about using imaging to avoid the need for an operation. This lets people with cancer have faster recoveries and enhances their quality of life. The procedures She can perform include venous access; drainages of abscesses, fluid collections, and obstructed systems; peripheral angiography; and tumor embolization. She have been practicing radiology at MSK since 2000.

Her primary focus is the minimally invasive treatment of tumors involving the liver and bile ducts. This includes embolotherapy — killing the tumor by blocking the arteries that supply it — and ablation — the application of extreme heat or cold directly into tumors to kill tumor cells — for primary and metastatic liver tumors. She also perform procedures to treat blocked bile ducts in the liver that can cause symptoms of jaundice, infection, and itching. As a member of the Hepatobiliary Disease Management Team, She work with her colleagues from different specialties to provide the best cancer care possible. Her research interests include hepatocellular carcinoma and biliary intervention.
