Anna Soloway began her nursing career working with forensic and chronically hospitalized patients at The Oregon State Psychiatric Hospital. The experience instilled in her a determination to help foster nursing staff’s desire to seek out and celebrate the humanity in people requiring care for serious and chronic mental illness. Anna currently works as a Clinical Nurse IV on 4 Neurosciences at UNCMC, which is comprised of three areas: Geriatric Psychiatry, Crisis Stabilization and Perinatal Psychiatry. Anna also responds to behavioral emergencies throughout UNCMC as a member of the UNC Behavioral Response Team. She relishes the opportunity to work with staff and patients all over the hospital and loves the challenge of de-escalating folks.
