Andrei Catanchin MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ, EHRA Acc

Dr Catanchin is a cardiologist / electrophysiologist based at Epworth Hospital in Melbourne, specialising in the management of atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, implantable devices and catheter ablation. He has research involvement with warfarin alternatives (NOACs, left atrial appendage occlusion) and implantable loop recorders in cryptogenic stroke.Dr Catanchin graduated from Melbourne University, undertook basic training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and further cardiology training interstate. He completed fellowships in EP/pacing at Royal Perth Hospital and St George’s University/Hospital in London UK, then spent 4 years at Royal Perth Hospital before returning home to Melbourne in 2012.
