Prof. Dr Andreas Leithner (born 1974) is head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medical University of Graz, Austria and Secretary of the European Musculoskeletal Oncology Society (EMSOS). Born in Vienna, he studied Medicine there and went to Graz in 2000, soon specializing in the field of orthopaedic oncology. He became “Dozent” in 2005 and interim head of the orthopaedic department in 2010 until 2012.
