Dr Ganesan graduated in medicine from the University of Sydney, Australia. He completed his PhD in basic cardiac electrophysiogy at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. He completed his medicine and cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, Australia. Dr Ganesan’s research interests include atrial fibrillation mapping and ablation.

An area we have recently been exploring is the role of novel methods using signal entropy to target the pivot of rotors in atrial fibrillation ablation. The project has had some early recognition in the form of the Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Awards, and Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Awards, and the Michel Mirowski Fellowship of the Heart Rhythm Society.

Dr Ganesan has recently been awarded an NHMRC Australian Early Career Health Practitioner Fellowship and NHMRC New Investigator Project Grant to further develop this work.
